Old China Hands members meet via Amateur Radio "nets" three times weekly. Our nets are operated informally, via volunteer net controllers. Old China Hands is not a traffic net. Purpose of the net is to meet and enjoy new friends, renew old acquaintances and share CBI experiences. Round table discussions are conducted, with equal share of transmit time. All licensed Amateur Radio Operators are invited to tune it, read the mail and check in at any time. Old China Hands Net will assist during any valid emergency.
- Three modes of operations are recognized:
- 1. Old China Hand member that holds a current Amateur Radio License.
- 2. Old China Hand member that is not licensed, but operates "third party" through a licensed Amateur.
- 3. Old China Hand member that operates as a Short Wave Listener.
