- The closing of the Burma road left only one supply route open to supply the Chinese and American troops fighting on the Chinese mainland . . . the air route from the Assam valley in India over the Himalaya mountains into China. This route became known as "THE HUMP".

- The Central Archive for all materials related to the China-Burma-India Theater of WW II. We just discovered this site which originated in February of 1997. It currently provides 'Ex-CBI Roundup', 'CBI Veterans Association', as well as listing the names and addresses of veterans organizations that have members who were active duty military personnel in the China-Burma-India theatre during WWII. We certainly hope it continues to develop. (06/20/03)

- 'Red Raiders' - 22nd Bomb Group, 5th Air Force
- Maybe you haven't heard of the Red Raiders. But thousands of Japanese have --all the way from Rabaul to Formosa. A lot of them looked up too late to see the bombs falling. Formally, the 'Red Raiders' are the 22nd Bombardment Group of the US 5th Air Force. With the help of his grandsons, Cy Klimesh, former 'Red Raider, has posted an outstanding site presenting this great group. (01/26/01)
